I applied through the website and also emailed the hiring manager to pitch why I would be a good fit. This led to an interview request from HR/recruiter. The new manager is only 11 weeks into their position and clearly feels the need to make an impact. It turns out the manager did not pay attention to any of the details or read my resume. The hiring manager was 10 minutes late during the conversation and yawned repeatedly, showing zero interest. This was very disrespectful and indicated they had no intention of being present. zero qualms about wasting your time.
