J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Handshake (Seattle, WA) en oct. 2022

The company has a long way to go in terms of interviews and screening. The initial interviews feel so impersonal where they're just collecting information and it's obvious. Why would I put in in effort in a phone screen to work for a company that doesn't care to get to know me as a potential future employee? It's just low quality recruiters. If this company really wants to thrive in the future, they need better recruiters who can have real conversations in understand a candidate's match to a role.

Applied online and a recruiter reached out to set up initial 30 minute screening. The entire 30 minutes were spent with the recruiter talking about their background and career. I was sent a questionnaire after asking me to complete via email. All the questions were standard, but should have been covered during the phone call.

A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn. The entire process was 5 calls over 4 weeks. 1 recruiter screen, 3 calls with hiring managers and the vp of sales, and a mock discovery call. After completing all five calls, I received a call from HR saying I “passed the hiring screen”, but the head of operations, who I didn’t meet with, rejected me based on my profile. So I wasted all that time for no reason, why are they reaching out to profiles they don’t want?
The feedback they gave was they were hoping to get someone with mid-market experience for this smb role, but the pay was low even for smb. Good luck handshake, you’ll continue to get destroyed by LinkedIn.
