Entretien pour Enterprise Customer Success Manager

      New York, NY
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Handshake (New York, NY) en mars 2022

      Entretien

The process was quite straightforward. 1) Reached out by a recruiter 2) Followed by a conversation with the hiring manager 3) Followed by 5 separate 30 minute individual conversations with folks on the account management team, CSM team, Hiring manager 4) Ending with one final interview with the VP of Customer Experience The interview process in itself was somewhat time intensive but thoughtful conversations with the team members none-the-less. The overall process did feel very long winded. The individual 30 minute conversations could have been with only 2-3 individuals vs the 5. Or that it could have been a panel interview with all 5 folks on a 45 minute zoom call. Repeating the same thing over and over again in such short succession introduced an element of fatigue in the whole process. The final interviewer on the other hand was unprofessional. The interviewer clearly had other things going on in the background and was totally distracted throughout the call. They could be heard talking to someone else during the interview as well. I totally get it that in this day and age of working remotely, we have stuff going on in our house. If it is too distracting to hold and interview then re-schedule it. That would be the professional thing to do. The recruiter and the recruiting coordinator, were incredibly professional and really looked out for your (the applicant's) and the company's best interest.

Phone Interview, would've been 4 parts confirmed by the Recruiter. The interview was solid, after the interview, I asked for feedback and was told that they wanted me to be goaled on 100% retention but that's not what my KPI's were at my previous company, it was 90% (Indeed). I completely understand if that disqualifies from a role but I do find it a bit nitpicking. (Overall no harm, learn an move on) What completely thrown me off about the entire process is the recruiter told me she'd get back to me in 24 hours. It's been week 3 and I still haven't heard back from her. I sent 2 emails, 72 hours after the first interview and 7 days after the first interview. There was no out of office, no response for the delay, completely ghosted. Trust, I understand how much recruiters & talent acquisition have on their plates in the current hiring climate. Then take into consideration personal life, it's the fair thing to do. I worked at Indeed for 6 years, I understand the hiring process. If they're trying to build a pipeline of candidates, that's ok, but it's not happening in 2024, different hiring climate. BUT At the end of the day, everyone has a job to do. In 2024 job seekers aren't having an easy time, the least anyone can do is to an email, it goes back to the simple things which aren't being done anymore.

What a joke. Handshake reached out to me for an initial interview. It went well and I was passed to the next round to meet with the hiring manager. They said I was nailing all the interview questions. They then had me do SIX more interviews in a week. I was really interested in the role so I agreed. I thought they all went extremely well. I was feeling pretty good about the role, company, and mission. Well, I didn't hear from anyone for a while and then got a ridiculous automated email saying they decided to move forward with other candidates. After having EIGHT interviews and wasting an insane amount of my time, they would even give me the time of day to provide feedback on this decision. I reached out to every person I interviewed with and received nothing. I definitely dodged a bullet. If this is the way they treat candidates, I cant imagine what it must be like to actually work there. Save yourself the time and interview elsewhere!!
