First I completed an online test asking how I would act in various situations.
Second I was called by a very friendly HR recruiter for a telephone interview that lasted about 40 minutes. He went through my resume and asked general personality and fit questions.
Third I was called in for an interview during which I met briefly with the VP corporate finance after which I was interview by 2 Assistant VPs, one commercial banking relationship manager and one commercial banking associate.
It felt more like a conversation than an interview. Each participant was smart, qualified and to put it simply, professionally inspiring.
I was asked about my strengths, interests, opinion of the economic outlook...
HSBC seems like a wonderful place to work. Unfortunately, I declined the internship offer for a more lucrative and permanent position at TD that seemed like the best option for my current career objectives.
