The group interview is mixed with applicants to all the other jobs they are hiring for, I was the only one applying for the reeving position. Most of the applicants were young college and high school students applying for part time positions. I was the only one that appeared in a suit and tie, some appeared dressed in shorts, so that diminished the professionalism of the group interview.
However, the admin called me the next day, apologized that I was in the group interview and set up a final interview with the GM and skipped the next step for an interview with department manager. The GM hired me on the spot and was understand of my needs and had a true desire to help when he realized I was seeking to add value to his company through hard work even though I was overqualified. He also spoke about growth opportunities, keeping my credentials in minds which was another manifestation of his vision for me as an employee. I am grateful for my GM.

Entretien
Applied online for the Boerne store and immediately got an email to complete an online video interview. Once I submitted that I received an email requesting me to select an in person interview time. Completed that and showed up at agreed time. Waited about 10 minutes and was taken back for interview. Was told they had a different opportunity for me as a part time curb side shopper. Never even asked me about receiving. I told him I was there to interview for full-time receiving position. He said he didn't think they had any receiving spots open?? I left very discourage and a little humiliated. I have always admired HEB as a people first company, but this experience was very disappointing.
