I’m a huge fan of Gymshark and was so excited to see a role that matched my experience perfectly. I applied and heard back within 48 hours. However, the requested “interview” was for an on-demand/automated interview to be completed asynchronously by a robotic AI software. Despite being considered for a senior-level role, Gymshark couldn’t even give candidates the courtesy of speaking to an actual human. What if I had questions about the role, or wanted to get a feel for company culture? Neither could be accomplished with a cold, one-sided process. I decided to respectfully pass, but the interview request was sent from a no-reply email, which is honestly not surprising.
