I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about this job opportunity and went through an initial phone screening with her. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager which was more like a verbal assault. He tried to downplay my achievements and tell me that there was no basis or strategy for an award-winning campaign that I led. I went back to Glassdoor to read the company reviews and saw a few regarding tech bros and toxic masculinity being an issue at Gusto and it all made sense.
