      Entretien

I had the exact same experience as this other candidate who left a review for the same position earlier this year. I cannot emphasize enough how blown away I am by how disrespectful this hiring manager was during my interview. I immediately withdrew my application after this experience as I knew this was not going to be the right place for me. They too, were absent minded during my interview as I explained in detail my portfolio pieces (as requested), asked if I wanted to end the interview early as they didn't have a single question to ask me after I spent 30 minutes describing the reasoning and decisions behind my work, then when I had the chance to ask them questions about the role expectations, the culture of the team, and how their services operate, they gave vague responses that did not answer my questions directly. I would encourage this hiring manager to rethink their interviewing strategy and to at least act interested in understanding the candidates background and skill set. The other review: "Interview Two stages: 1. Screening/Portfolio demo (45min. Yes, you read that right) 2. Panel interviews and whiteboard exercises. Overall, it felt mediocre. The interviewing manager's mind was very much absent during the interview. The interview itself also felt very rushed and unstructured. My questions were answered with very abstract replies, which gave very little context about the company and ways of working. It's also hard to understand which points they value in potential candidates, so you can at least focus your presentation around those. At this point in their career, Designers have a lot of experience in different projects. Turning an interview into a guessing game rather than providing some action points before or at the start is sub-optimal and only helps you hire those who guessed right. Also, the lack of any leading questions during the demo was kind of a red flag. It really gave a feeling of the interviewer being uninterested and not engaged in a discussion. Overall, very poor communication and transparency. It's hard to get any meaningful answers to your questions, and there's a complete lack of clarifying questions and project-related discussions during the interview."
