I was contacted by a recruiter two months after applying and set up an interview with the director of the department. I met with the director of the department for the initial interview and she was very pleasant. Everything went well and I was then told that I would definitely have a second interview the following week or two. I was also told if a week goes by and there is not a call don't worry because the department is very busy at the moment but to expect a call the following week. A week goes by and I decide to follow up with the recruiter. The recruiter informs me they've already finalized their final candidates to my surprise. I was very disappointed in the communication with this company if there was a change of heart, I feel like it should be expressed to the interviewee by HR or management just as a general courtesy.
