J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Gong (San Francisco, CA) en nov. 2020

I had a solid interview process up until we were at the offer stage. On the final (6th) interview, I was informed I should hear back with an offer in a couple of days. The recruiter then came back to tell me that headcount did not get approved for the role and to reach back out in the future...
It is the most unprofessional interview experience I've had because of that. If a candidate is going to go through the interview process, that needs to be made clear or at least wait until the headcount is approved before having them spend hours of their time preparing and being on calls to only be told that. Hope this doesn't happen to any other candidates!

What was one of the most difficult customer interactions you had and how did you handle it?
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Gong (Chicago, IL) en mai 2026

The interview process was very straightforward with 4 rounds. One initial recruiter screen, hiring manager, mock presentation, and final meeting with a senior leader. All of which, were scenario based questions and insight into one’s professional career experience. I appreciated the thoroughness and professionalism of the team

Really disappointed with my experience with Gong, I use their product and think it’s great. I didn’t officially apply for the role but was contacted by the recruiter for an exploratory chat. After a couple of questions around my background, the recruiter immediately decided that I should be put forward for a less senior role despite my experience and I didn’t get a chance to ask a few questions and the recruiter said they had to run and could only answer 1.
Although I didn’t officially apply, I received a rejection email which I find insulting especially as this was meant to be an exploratory chat.
