As the first stage of the recruitment process, I received an exhaustive design challenge to be completed in 7 days. The challenge required the creation of several full-featured financial features with their corresponding wireframes, detailed interactions, components and design systems, and complete documentation. My impression is that it would take at least a couple of full-time weeks to get the job done. To me, this kind of challenge makes me completely distrust GoQuant. Either they are very ignorant and don't understand the amount of work involved, or they just want to take advantage of you and get top design work done for free. Both alternatives speak terribly of them.

I would strongly caution others against engaging in this process. The expectations are unrealistic, and the challenge appears to prioritize free work over a fair and respectful recruitment experience.
