It sounds like you were interviewing for one of our engineering manager positions. Typically our engineering managers are responsible for Leadership/Management and architectural design of our system which would explain why we asked those questions, but that should of been made clear to you from the start. It's odd that you received feedback on a Solution Architect role, as we don't hire those positions here, but maybe there was some internal miscommunication.
