After two calls and a programming test everything was going well. The feedback after each stage was overwhelmingly positive. The last stage supposedly went great but the next day I got a rejection email because they decided to go ahead with a different candidate... even though one day earlier I was informed that I was one of the two candidates they had and the other one just started the recruitment process. The only feedback I received was that they were impressed with me and everything was great, which does not provide any guidance or advice. What a joke!
