      Entretien

      - The first interview was with the HR representative of the company. She was quite friendly, and we mostly covered the standard topics of introducing the company and the position. She also asked me 2-3 technical questions and based on this, she concluded that I wouldn't have to take a potential technical test and proceeded to invite me for a technical interview later that week. The only downside was that the person didn't know the answers to two important questions about the company, such as "where is the office located in Belgrade?" and "how did the company set a Guinness World Record" (as mentioned on their website)? - During the technical interview, I had the opportunity to meet three members of the Technical Support team. It was a fairly relaxed conversation where they briefly introduced the company and the position before diving into the questions. They asked me one technical question (the difference between TCP and UDP) and two situational questions (regarding how I would solve certain problems). One thing I particularly liked was the PowerPoint presentation that followed at one point during the interview, where they provided a detailed overview of the tech stack, the position, other teams, the company's organization, their clients, and the company's conditions, etc. Other companies should take note of this approach when presenting their operations. - After a few days, I received a preliminary contract and had to make a quick decision. The offer was tempting and, furthermore, it involved a higher salary compared to my current position at that time. It was incredibly difficult for me to make a decision during that week, but I ultimately chose to decline the offer since I had meanwhile discussed finances and new responsibilities with my current employer, and we found common ground. I'm sorry that things turned out this way because I believe Gcore is a good company that is poised to significantly expand its support team here in Belgrade, Serbia. I liked that the HR team member showed a strong desire for me to be part of their team, and I even had a special conversation with the team lead before making my final decision. I will definitely reconsider this company if I find myself in a situation where I am without a job.
