Contacted by a recruiter. Said my experience was what they were looking for following a phone call. Had initial recruiter conduct first interview. Went into detail on my experience. Confirmed my experience was fine and they gave me homework to do for following interview which included roleplay. After executing the interview in the manner requested by Gartner, immediate feedback was positive. Within the interview, it was constructive, however, overall positive. I was told I would hear back within 24 hours. After 24 hours, I reached out to no avail. Towards the end of the week, reached out again. After a week, finally received a declination email. The reason for the declination was apparently due to prior work experience not being sufficient for the role. This is of course, a bit confusing. If my experience was not sufficient, I wouldn’t/shouldn't have moved forward in the first place. Because of that oversight, it would seem resources were wasted by all parties involved.

How would you respond to a CIO who says they do not wish to speak to you?
They have reached out to me for a job every year and I have interviewed with them 2 times and have never made it past the 1st interview. Confused why a recruiter reaches out to me anymore?

It was long and rigorous, often feeling extremely high pressure, with not a lot of constructive criticism. There are 5 rounds and each with a role-play. It's safe to say this is not an easy interview process. I'm not sure how they do their prospecting, but I was apparently a 'great fit' for the role - didn't show that enthusiasm during our calls.
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
