J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Gartner (Fort Myers, FL) en oct. 2020
Entretien
The process started with a phone screen with a recruiter. I was initially applying to the sales support position but was moved to the account manager position interview process. I then was given a virtual video interview with my recruiter, Andrea Johnson, who was absolutely lovely and became my coach through the entire process (she gave me her personal number to reach her which was amazing). During this second round, there were behavioral questions and a practice sales pitch (DISCLAIMER: You do not need to know a lot about Gartner, you barely need to know anything, you just need to prove that you can actively listen and ask discovery questions in order to reach the client's true need. It sounds daunting but it's only like 5-10 minutes and goes by fast). After that round, you meet with a "skills assessment recruiter" but the process is similar to the second round (behavioral questions and a sample sales case) except the sales case is a bit longer (15-20 minutes) and you have to know a bit more (but they give you a handout that you read before the interview and can have by you. Other than the sheet they give you, you DO NOT have to know anything else so don't worry). If you get past this round, there is an "invitational day" where you hear presentations about the job and Fort Myers, FL and have an elevator pitch (really easy don't stress) and an hour long interview with some sales leaders (they're really cool so don't worry). This day is only for candidates that they want to hire (everyone there gets an offer unless you really mess up so just keep doing what you've been doing in the previous interviews and you'll be fine). During non-covid times, they fly you down to Florida for 2 days but I was interviewing during Covid so i did it online. This is an entire day process.
They also coach you during EVERY step of the way and they tell you what you did right and wrong after each step which sounds scary but is actually so helpful. Really listen to your recruiters during the feedback (and also ALWAYS ask for feedback at the end if they didn't provide it to you). They expect you to use that feedback in your following interviews so, again, take notes and practice.

Sloppy recruiter
Unorganized
No follow up/lots of time between follow ups
phone screening and then panel interview via zoom
accidentally sent me someone else's resume
last minute added different executives to the interview
I received a message from a recruiter and had a phone screen with them. They said they would let me know about a follow up call, but they never got back to me. I reached back out to them to follow up, but I didn't receive a response.
