Telephonic interview for 30 minutes directly with Gartner Talent Sourcing EMEA representative.
Had arranged and confirmed a telephonic first stage interview for a Monday. I spent the entire weekend preparing for this even though it was only set for 30 minutes and was very basic. I had also booked time off from work in advance.
Monday came and the set time passed - no call. After waiting for 10 minutes, I called the Gartner Talent Sourcing rep direct on her line and spoke with her. She first asked me to repeat my name at which point I did and confirmed that we had an interview arranged for now. I was told that the day that this had been arranged was "very busy" and she had thus forgotten to put this in her diary. We agreed that the interview would take place the next day at the same time. Although I felt that this was extremely unprofessional, I gave the benefit of the doubt on the basis that mistakes happen and nobody is perfect (except for the impression one gets from Gartner's marketing).
The next day, the Talent Sourcing rep did call and we spoke for about 30 minutes. She then said that she felt I was too experienced in new business sales and that this was an account management role.
That I had enterprise new sales experience disqualified me. I was ignored when I said that I was not necessarily seeking a new business role and was even flexible on the package I would receive.
The fact that I had even applied for this role on a job board speaks volumes.
The rep then said that she will pass my CV on to her colleague who sources people for new business roles. This person would make contact with me shortly for further discussion.
Well, three months have come and gone and still nothing, even though I have emailed the rep to remind her.
If you are interviewing with Gartner - good luck. You will need it just for the basic logistical arrangements!

Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.

HR is very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. It can be a little confusing how they structure and and label their position but easily cleared up when talking in first rounds. They are professional and get back quickly. Overall a very positive experience.
