Whole process took 5-6 weeks
1) Applied
2) took talent assessments 1hr (none of that information was relevant to the role. Felt like assessments were a way to collect data ). Assessments and results were never mentioned in discussion with Recruiter, so I don’t buy they were a “second interview” as it said in the email for the assessments.
3) HR phone screen (45min)
For a company that helps other companies better support their employees, this one doesn’t seem to value their own. Salary on the low side for coordinator. Was told salary was firm and that some don’t pursue this position because some people feel that “it would be like leaving money on the table” to accept within the low range. Then why don’t you compensate fairly? I said it was fine but wasn’t happy with it. Was told the position was super competitive though at that salary I don’t know why. That didn’t seem legit.
4) writing samples submission
Forwarded my writing samples for the job. Almost 2.5 weeks go by where they are in the process of reviewing them. No news no updates.
5) Recuiter left voicemail that they had an update. I call back just so they can tell me over the phone that I was passed on for the role. Why would I want a call for that? They could have just emailed me. Didn’t appreciate that or the experience overall. Felt very time consuming and a general waste of time.
