Long story short, I was ghosted.
I applied and was contacted within a few days to interview for a role. They scheduled 3 interviews, which all went very well. At the last interview one of the managers asked if I'd also like to interview for another role because she thought I could be a good fit and my skills aligned. I agreed and was contacted again within a day or two to set up four additional interviews after an interview with a HR consultant. I completed all five interviews and again they all went well. Every person seemed to be very enthusiastic and had great things to say. The last woman I interviewed with said I should hear back from HR within a week. I waited and waited, no follow up or update. I gave it an additional week before I sent an email to the HR consultants who initially helped me. Neither person responded. I sent another email to follow up about the first job I interviewed for and HR said they'd ask the team for an update. I had a total of 8 interviews each 45 minutes each and even after all of the time I took off work, I didn't even get a follow-up email or response...I thought that was common courtesy even if I got rejected. I interviewed at a major company for a mid-senior level professional position, but they just ghosted me and then ignored me. Didnt seem professional at all. It really rubbed me the wrong way because their mission statement says they value transparency and other characteristics that initially attracted me to the company. I've interviewed with their competitors and I they were very forthcoming and efficient.

Contacted by recruiter for first interview via Teams, 1/2h, high level scan of CV, competencies and motivation.
Second interview with hiring manager at office location. Interview was also rather high level, some strange borderline questions such as "what is your wife's occupation ?"
Hiring manager could not give a clear picture of how local organisation is structured.

The hiring manager interview was virtual, followed by a virtual panel interview. Most interviewers were from Amazon, and the process resembled Amazon-style interviews focused heavily on behavioral and leadership-based questions.
