      Entretien

I recently went through the interview process at Frido, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience due to the lack of professionalism and communication throughout the process. I want to clarify that I have no issue with not being selected — rejection is a part of the hiring process. My concern is with how the process was handled despite multiple rounds, extensive time commitment, and zero closure from the company. The process started with a “screening call” that was not conducted by HR, but by someone from the finance team. I was asked if I was available for a quick 5–10 minute discussion, but the call ended up lasting almost 50 minutes with detailed resume-based questioning. I still cooperated patiently and answered everything. The first official interview round was with the same person on Microsoft Teams. Initially, I was asked if I could interview on the weekend, which I declined, so it was scheduled for Monday instead. Although the interview was supposed to be for 30 minutes, it stretched to nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes. I was asked technical questions, Excel formulas through screen sharing, and multiple detailed discussions. I cleared this round as well. The second round, with a managerial interviewer, was actually professional and well-conducted. The questions were relevant, the conversation stayed within the scheduled time, and overall it was a positive experience. However, the third round was where things became extremely confusing and unprofessional. HR had clearly informed me that this round would only be a discussion round and not technical. Naturally, I expected a conversation around salary, culture fit, or behavioral aspects. Instead, the entire round turned out to be heavily technical again. On top of that, the interviewer informed me that the role itself was different from the one I had been interviewing for all along. After investing so much time across multiple lengthy rounds, there was absolutely no communication, feedback, or closure from the company afterward. Complete ghosting after such an extensive process is extremely disrespectful to candidates’ time and effort. Overall, the experience reflected poor coordination, lack of transparency, and weak candidate communication. I hope the company improves its hiring process and treats candidates’ time with more respect in the future.
