Interviewer was late to interview. She looked through my portfolio, told me I was overqualified for the job and then proceeded to lowball me an offer for salary, telling me in six months I'd have the potential for a raise.

I had found the job offer for an artist in their generics department in the summer of 2012 via Craigslist and emailed my resume. Shortly after that, I scheduled an appointment to the interview at their New York showroom, bringing along my portfolio. I was requested to show new examples of how I'd apply my designs to tee shirts, as I primarily studied book and fashion illustration instead of graphic design. I did this twice after a request for revisions with the impression that second or third chances to prove one's design skills were not really frequently requested, taking that as a good sign. The Friday after sending my third portfolio, I was called back to the office where I was informed that the job was given elsewhere for the generics department, but that there was an opening they wished me to fill in their licensed design department. I said I was ready to work immediately after the weekend and got the job.

Under 30 minutes. Went through my portfolio, showed me some samples in the showroom. Gave me a design test to take home and finish within the next two business days. Took about two weeks to get contacted about the interview and then another week and a half to hear back if I got the job or not.
