Technical take home test was tough but reasonable. The tech round with engineers also went well. The final round with the architect was bizarre. He asked me to code something on the spot that would take at least 6 hours to do without something like ChatGPT

Question 1
Code from scratch in terraform, a complete infra for a web app, including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, NAT, firewall rules, EKS cluster, etc. Oh by the way, they will not provide you the AWS/GCP/Azure account to create it. It is on you to do. Also no google searches

Although things looked great in the beginning after a while it became obvious that the company is in it’s infancy.
They make you sign an NDA so I can’t go into much detail but the interview went sideways when they asked me to come up with solutions to a 2 problems test.
The test itself wasn’t hard or complicated, they just didn’t offer clear acceptance criteria for how they wanted the tasks achieved.
In a nutshell they praised over-engineering above everything else so beware.
Hopefully time will teach them to be more clear on what they look in a candidate besides the “we want to see how much someone is willing to do to work for us” attitude that was thrown in my face a couple of times …

Cannot share too much, basicly a senario and provide solution. Many question around the solution. Not the best proccess under pressuer. Could be much better if they change the way they intreview
