When the recruiter reached out with this role it seemed like your usual senior infrastructure/devops engineer role. The first couple of rounds were standard with a hiring manager and coding round. However, in the next round I found that they expected the candidate to also have data engineering experience as they expected the infra/devops engineer to help out with database and data related activities. It seemed like they were combining two roles and wanted a candidate to work as both an infra engineer and data engineer. This seems like huge a red flag as what was advertised in the job description, and by the recruiter and hiring manager is different than the actual job reality. Interview only if you really need the experience.
