      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Forrester (Nashville, TN) en nov. 2018

      Entretien

      Interview process started out with a call from the recruiter. Open forum of communication to learn more about the candidate and speak towards the position and the qualifications. Next round was with the Director of Sales. The questions were based on the position and what is required along with my skillset for the position. The third round was being interviewed by the current Managers of the office. The forth round was to prepare a specific PPT presentation directed toward a specific person in the C-Suite leadership. The frustrating part of the interview process was preparing a presentation that all attendees knew was not going to be presented in the strategy they intended to be delivered. Providing a presentation to a group not know how they want it delivered is setting a candidate up for failure. Also, the Director of Sales knew there were an internal candidate that was being chosen over an outside candidate was a waste of everyone time. There should never have been an outside candidate being interviewed IF you have a qualified internal candidate you want to move in the position. Be respectful of everyone time. I would not recommend.

      Forrester claims to be inclusive and encourages women, minorities, people with disabilities, and veterans to apply. However, upon walking through the doors of the company, there is very little diversity displayed. Though there may be a fair representation of women in the company, it still very much remains a predominantly white community. This is reflected in the interview process. If your ideals, mannerism, and practices do not reflect their Westernized traditions, you will not be considered for the role. It seems that they do not ask if you are qualified, but rather if you fit into their mold.

      I am sorry to hear that you left your interview with a negative perception of Forrester. As you point out, the male/female ratio among our workforce is nearly 50/50%. That’s better than most companies in the tech industry and a point of pride for us. Regarding diversity overall, we know we can do better, and we have some efforts underway. Employees have historically told us they are proud of Forrester’s inclusive culture and respect for different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints – the lifeblood of an idea company such as ours, and a vital foundation to build upon.
