Entretien
- 45-minute chat about the role/company and future this step went well and I was excited to continue on the process. I had a great time during this chat and was really hopeful for the rest of the process. The person conducting the interview was chatty and fun to talk too
- 1-hour interview with a timed recorded technical test. I initially was told and thought that at this stage I'd be doing a pairing session. I was asked to prepare an environment for this which I did so which I picked Golang for. When I joined the call however I found this step to the be worse already within 5-10 minutes the person conducting my interview seemed down/sluggish and not very engaging. He then informed me of the format of the interview and I was confused and instantly felt anxious about this step as he began to explain the step. I had to code live on my own while being recorded a binary search algorithm that would take two inputs first was a temperature and second was a list of temperatures. I then needed to search the list to find the nearest temperature in that list. A typical anxiety-inducing technical interview that has no relevance to the actual role. I asked the person conducting the interview at the end about the test, they were unable to tell me what exactly they were grading me on and he informed it's nothing like what they actually do on a daily basis. All the way through the test all I could think about was what I looked like on camera and what they were thinking about what I was typing in my editor. I had no idea how long I had taken until I was told there was 15 minutes remaining. The interviewee then continued to record while I asked questions. The whole process was frankly horrible and probably the worst interview experience I've had

Entretien
- Phone call with recruiter, asking motivational questions, current situation, why you want to leave, salary expectation etc.
- Take home technical test (design a rest api to persist and retrieve a resource)
- Pari programming session on site, followed by cultural interview with CTO and HR manager
