J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Flipkart en mars 2021
Entretien
Telephonic screening followed by 5 rounds. Problem Solving, Product Thinking, Tech, Biz and Hiring Manager. All except the Biz rounds (the best one IMO) had a similar set of questions though, with app teardowns and product lifecycle and think through questions. Quite rigorous and very well structured. No questions related to past experience or the domain.
I cleared all rounds and got to the hiring manager round (right before the HR round). Again got a similar set of questions. The difference this time was that the interviewer was quite rude (yawning during the call, seemed to have made up his mind not to make an offer BEFORE the call). He asked me to wrap up my intro in 30 seconds as he 'did not have time for all that' and then when I started on the first question (literally first sentence where I was framing the problem and asking for his opinion), he said. 'you don't need to make assumptions on the problem, just ask me valid questions'. In the app tear through question, I'd picked 5 apps I use daily out of which he asked me to work on improving Google Maps. I gave it a shot and he smirked and said, 'you picked the wrong product, how you're thinking is not how it works, I've worked on maps for X years'.
Didn't get an offer, would not have accepted even if I had. The last round spoiled the experience. Kudos to the Recruiter though for excellent follow ups.
J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Flipkart (Bengaluru) en déc. 2019
Entretien
A recruitment agency scouted my resume and forwarded to Flipkart recruiter after confirming with me. Flipkart recruiter scheduled a first round phone screen with a product manager. The first round was more like a discussion than an interview, and I really enjoyed it. I explained about my previous product management experience, why I am looking for a change now. The interviewer explained briefly about the role. (It was for 2gud, a Flipkart company for refurbished products).
The second round (phone screen again) with another interviewer was scheduled in 3rd week of Dec 2019, but the interviewer didn't call and there was no intimation. Days later, the recruiter rescheduled the interview in the first week of Jan 2020. Again it was a no-show by the interviewer. I called it off from my end and sent a note to the recruiter, indicating I am no longer interested in the position. The recruiter called back immediately giving an explanation why the interviewer didn't show up.
I accepted the apologies, but politely declined a 3rd chance of scheduling the interview. So that's it!
