After passing this stage, I had a more technical interview with a senior developer or technical lead from the company. Initial HR Screening: Covered general work experience, PHP expertise, team collaboration, and availability. Also, there was a brief discussion about why I applied to the company and what excites me about working with them. Some specific questions on how I’ve handled past projects, followed by a description of the company’s culture and values. Technical Interview: Conducted by a senior developer or tech lead. Focused on my deep understanding of PHP, the Phalcon framework, and how I applied these technologies in real-world projects. I was also asked to provide detailed examples of my problem-solving approach, optimization strategies, and decisions made in previous projects. This session included a live coding exercise to evaluate how I code and solve problems in real-time. System Design & Architectural Discussion: Focused on my knowledge of system architecture, database design, scalability, and deployment strategies. I was asked to explain how I would architect an application using the Phalcon framework and ensure optimal performance. Behavioral and Cultural Fit: Discussed how I approach teamwork, feedback, managing deadlines, and conflicts in a work environment. I was asked how I deal with setbacks and how I continuously grow as a developer.
