Horrible. I applied online. I get an email a few days later for an interview. I take off from work to go to this interview. First, I was running late so I called the place to let them know I would be a little late. No answer. I call again, no answer. I probably called ten times before I finally called an alternate number they give through the voice mail. I called the number and a very rude woman answers the phone and tells me that it was the wrong number (though it was still apart of First Student) and that I shouldn't call that number. She said she would relay the message but I highly doubt she did.
Prior to this, I had previously called to make sure exactly where they were located. I googled the address and the name of a hotel popped up but in the google image photo, there was a shopping plaza. So as you can imagine, I was very confused. I called several times with no response.
So back to the day of the interview, I had taken the bus instead of driving. I get off at the cross street I was given in the directions. I literally walked around in the shopping plaza parking lot for almost AN HOUR trying to find this place, and calling them the whole time. Guess what? Still no answer. I finally decide to give up. As I'm walking to my bus, I see what I think is a hotel and then I see yellow school buses in the parking lot. Ding ding ding! Guess who!? I cross the street, go into the hotel and find that it wasn't a one-on-one interview like they had led me to believe but more of a hiring event or group interview. There were probably 10 or more people there for the same thing. There was only one lady holding the "interviews". I was an hour late at this point and they were nowhere near done. I take a number (not literally), wait my turn... GUYS... When I tell you this was the most unprofessional "interview" I had EVER been to in my LIFE. The lady could barely speak English so she was not very articulate, people were becoming angry and saying rude things to her, she in turn said some rude things to them. It was a spectacle. It didn’t help that the process was soooo long. She didn’t properly interview anyone. All she did was is sit with each person, looked over their paperwork to make sure they filled out everything and signed it. It only took so long because almost everyone didn’t fill out their paperwork correctly or in its entirety. She asked people if they had experience, they could literally just say “yes” and she’ll say “great, you’ll be a good fit”. That was IT! Since I was the last person to arrive, I was the last person to leave (and the whole time some of the guys there were flirting with me smh). The interview was scheduled from 12-1pm. I didn’t leave this place until almost 5pm! We then had to immediately go to a health clinic nearby to take a drug test. I went, did the test, and thought everything was good. I had prior experience working with children and in a school setting so I would be a great fit, right? No. I emailed them sometime later to inquire about the status of my application but I didn’t receive a response, not a call, not an email… nothing. And I never heard from them again. The end.
A waste of time and energy. The most unprofessional interview experience and process I’ve ever been through in my life and probably the next life. The employees are rude and unpleasant. There’s no communication, no way to contact anyone. An overall horrible company, at least this location is. Beware.
