Applied online and within 24 hours was able to schedule the initial interview, in which I was asked questions about my teaching philosophy, availability, job expectations and experience. I am now scheduled for my demo lesson. I have not received any advice or seen any example videos, so therefore am a little nervous.

Poor experience. Interviewer conducted the zoom interview with her camera off , which I felt was very unprofessional and made it hard to build rapport. The first 10 minutes of the interview consisted of some basic, standard questions about my experience followed by a brief 'mock lesson' with the interviewer awkwardly pretending to be a young learner. I felt I answered the questions well, and the demo lesson went ok. I got an email afterwards saying my skills and experience don't match their requirements . I have 3 years experience teaching, including young learners so I have no idea what this company are looking for. I also asked the interviewer what level the students are usually at (A0, A1 etc) and they seemed genuinely puzzled by this. It was hard to have a proper in depth conversation about teaching methods etc with someone who didn't understand basic terminology a weird demotivating experience .
