I was contacted by the company based on a reference by a colleague. After a brief phone interview, a schedule was set for a 1:1 in person interview. The first interview went well and was fairly ordinary. I felt the impression that it went well and that there would be another round of interviews. At the second interview, I was questioned in detail by two different individuals. The interview was more in depth than the first round. I was frequently asked about my weaknesses, failures and shortcomings that I experienced in my previous work history. This made the interview somewhat awkward as I was certainly prepared to talk about my successes. I did have a token response for questions about my weaknesses, but I had to really dig deep to offer up more in depth responses to any past failures. I think that I answered as effectively as possible without casting myself in a negative light. Although the interview did not feel as positive as the first, I was offered a position, but ultimately decided against making a change.
