I was an internal candidate. One one round of interviews. Met with person leaving the position and hiring manager. Several weeks went by before I was notified I did not get the job.

I submitted through Monster.com for a job in Boston while living out of state. A recruiter called me and briefly described the position and asked a few questions. She asked if I would be coming to Boston anytime soon so that I could have a personal interview. It happened that I was coming to Boston in 3 weeks, so we set the interview up at my convenience.
