No calls, just an email from the recruiter stating that they wanted me to take a coding challenge. The coding challenge was not timed. After the coding challenge, I was rejected without any indication of why. My "PSeudo App" was 100% functional, built using MVC patterns, and had re-usability. I met their challenge 100% and even exceeded it in some areas.
I've passed coding challenges for fortune 100 companies, FANG companies, etc. The rejection is a bit beyond my understanding.
I would have expected to at least get an interview, however, I digress.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Build an app that consumes this provided API. Display that information in a table view, and when tapped display a detailed view for that event.
Include a way to mark an event as a favorite, and add the search functionality. Marking a favorite should remain persistent between app installs.

Capture the Flag weed out process in the application itself. Found the four flags and got a take-home assessment. I did the take-home assessment (Recipe app) and was ultimately denied afterward with a boilerplate email. I know it was boilerplate because I had a friend apply for a completely different role, and they received the exact same email after their take-home (which was later in the interview process for them). This not only feels incredibly fake but doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that their team ACTUALLY looked through my code. My guess is they run the code through some AI engine, and it gives a thumbs up or thumbs down, which would be highly ironic considering they tell you not to use AI on your take-home.
If you are thinking of applying to work here, don't waste your time with an interview process that is more rigorous than Apple for a company that clearly will only care about you as a number.

Question 1
Create a recipe app that pulls recipes from an endpoint and displays them however you see fit.
Interview process started with online application and then receiving a take home test by email. Which you have 1 week to complete. At this point you either are rejected or passed onto another round where you are asked questions about the application you created.

First you get contacted by a recruiter that tells you about Fetch and how the process looks like. Then they send you a take home assignment followed by an interview with two engineers that ask questions about the project you did. Overall very friendly people.
