Virtual interview that includes 12 questions; you are given fifteen seconds to prepare for each question once it's revealed, and about 3 minutes to record an answer, with no do over. Questions include requests to convert betting lines into implied probabilities, tests to see if you know how certain teams preformed the previous year versus what the pre-season odds predicted, and exercises that evaluate your ability to gauge the statistical significance (or lack thereof) of particular performance metrics

      Entretien

2 rounds of interviews. Round 1: Was interviewed by 2 senior trading managers. Asked to tell a bit about myself and my interest in the role. They asked a few implied probability questions and converting to American odds (this is something you don't have to get correct but as long as you can explain how you would calculate it, that's fine). I was then asked 2 questions on trading scenarios which include: - If A'Ja Wilson is injured, how would I go about changing the line, spread and props of the game. - If Lebron James is injured, what would I change Luka Doncic's overs to. It was a very relaxed interview, which only went for 30 mins. An hour later I received an email from HR to complete a math test and send back within 3 days. I sent this the next day and received an email to attend a second round interview. Round 2: 45 min - 1 hour interview with 2 different senior trading managers. Questions included - What does a trader do? - Why are you interested in FanDuel and what do you know about the company. (really good to mention FanDuel's competitors here - BetFair, Bet 365, BetMGM, FoxBet, DraftKings etc.) - What excites you about learning at FanDuel - Do you know how to convert a percentage to odds (they won't give you a specific number, but maybe just have an example which they appreciated). - What questions from the math test did you find tough and which ones were you pretty across. - Name a conflict at any of your past workplaces and how did you resolve it. - A few more questions related to past worklife. - This question was only one that stumped me: "if i asked you to calculate how many hotdogs were sold in the Super Bowl last year, what would be your way of approaching this?". Everyone I spoke to throughout the interview process was very easy going and was very accommodating of my speech impairment that i was very open about prior to both interviews which they were very appreciative of and mentioned that they encourage anyone to open about any struggles they have if it'll help them. Good luck to those interviewing?
