      J'ai passé un entretien chez Fairbridge (New York, NY)

      I went through 8 rounds of interviews over 3.5 months and David Tswamuno, GP of the Fairbridge ghosted me with no explanation. Interview Process (1/5) I participated in an extensive 8-round interview process spanning several months. While I appreciated the thorough vetting initially, the process and VC fund itself became increasingly problematic and unethical: Multiple rounds included conversations with portfolio company founders, which raised questions about appropriate boundaries in the hiring process After completing all rounds, I was asked to provide confidential internal documentation from previous employers to verify my deal experience, despite having already provided a comprehensive track record with 3 references willing to speak directly about my work When I explained that sharing such documents would violate confidentiality agreements and professional ethics, the process stalled indefinitely. He blocked communication with candidates who didn't breach confidentiality and NDAs with previous firms. He knew I could help with fundraising so he assigned me an unpaid task during the candidacy to write an LP writeup for his future and existing LPs. He said there was nothing wrong with my work during one of the follow up interviews. Communication & Follow-up (1/5) After investing significant time in 8 interview rounds, I never received a formal decision. Multiple follow-up attempts went unanswered, and I was eventually blocked on LinkedIn without explanation. This lack of professional courtesy after such an extensive process was disappointing. Overall Experience I'd caution candidates to clarify expectations around documentation and timeline early in the process. An advisor familiar with this firm mentioned similar concerns about their hiring practices. While I appreciated the opportunity to learn about emerging VC operations, the experience ultimately felt like an inefficient use of time for both parties.
