      Entretien

I applied through an ad on Craigslist, and really wasn't expecting a response since I had no connections, but I got a very friendly e-mail a couple weeks after my application to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was 90% behavioral, and mainly focused on weaknesses and bad experiences. I think the interviewer was trying to make sure I could handle situations with frustrating clients. There were no technical questions in my phone interview, but I've heard others having basic finance questions in their interviews. I was called back the next day to schedule an in house interview. Basically, phone interview on Monday, called Tuesday, went back for in house interview on Friday. The in house interview was great, I really got a chance to see what the company culture was like and meet with several of their professionals. Everyone seemed happy, and they were all helpful, seemed like a great place to work. There were 3 of us total interviewing that day, and it started with a presentation about the company. Basic stuff here about the platform, what work is like, basic benefits overview, etc. etc. After that we were taken to separate rooms, my first interview was with a consultant and senior consultant, they basically went down my resume and asked me about myself. It was very laid back and not too tough, there were a couple random questions, but nothing impossible and nothing technical. My next interview was a 1:1 and it was the same thing, basically talking about myself with some behavioral questions and specifics about my resume, she also asked me to do something on excel, but the mouse was broken. The excel software was like 8 years old which made it tougher, and she was talking throughout the time I was working on it but it was nothing I or anyone who knows basic excel can't handle, just don't be shocked by seeing something you're not familiar with. It took me about a minute to look through the old platform and figure out how to do things the way I would on the newer one. My next interview was with one of the managers, and it was a mix of behavioral and some brain teasers. This was mainly to see my thought process, and it wasn't too hard at all if you just speak it out and let them know what you are doing. My last interview was with another manager who I had the phone interview with, I felt this was the most drilling interview despite the fact that I knew her from before and came into it feeling more comfortable. It was all behavioral questions, just like on the phone, they're not difficult to answer but the volume makes it difficult to come up with situations on the spot that represent characteristics they're after. Once this was over, they took us into a room with all the interviewers and we had our group interview. This was very simple and not at all what I was worried about, they asked us one question (non technical) and asked us to work together to come up with an answer. Just do things step by step and logically, even if the question isn't hard. After the group interview we went out to lunch with two consultants, at this point it didn't feel like an interview anymore, but don't forget you're still being evaluated. Just be yourself and don't do anything ridiculously obscene and you'll be fine. After that we came in, told we would hear back in two weeks, and were sent home. I got a call the next day with an offer.

Straightforward. You begin with a telephone interview, followed by a group interview with you work on a group project and share a talent/skill you possess. If successful, you will then go through several rounds of interview with hiring manager and other senior stakeholders.

There was an initial virtual interview with HR and then an interview the the manager from the US. HR lady was friendly and was fast to respond to emails. The manager didn’t seem experienced in interviewing, he said so himself and went for someone that didn’t require onboarding training. He said he doesn’t expect knowledge on equity when being quizzed on it but yet the reason for not getting the role was lack of knowledge on it. Was not pleased with this misleading behaviour. The decision felt rushed as they only gave a reply once I emailed so felt like they already had the candidate chosen.
