The interview process consisted of 5 rounds; a Zoom call with the internal recruiter, a Zoom call with the hiring manager, a trial project, an office loop and finally, a wrap-up Zoom call. From the start, the internal recruiter was really on-the-ball, responding swiftly and always sharing updates with me such that I never had to follow-up on how I was progressing with the interview process. While the process was lengthy, I felt that every step had its purpose. It's also very telling of the company culture — that your potential team members are wholly invested in ensuring a good fit both ways and are willing to take the time to flesh out your role for you, eliminating the guesswork and ambiguity that usually comes with one-stage interview processes. As I was applying for a content position with various focus areas, the trial project helped me identify my strengths and skill gaps. This then ensured that my role was shaped according to my strengths, and I could already have some areas of improvement mapped out which is really helpful for my personal development. Through the office loop, I got to meet the team members I would potentially be working with; everyone was really kind, humble and willing to share knowledge. I really benefitted from the feedback they shared on my trial project and overall, it was a great learning experience that I was happy to have undergone, even if I didn't land the job in the end.
