Pretty standard interviewing process.
1 - HR meeting
2 - Manager/Lead meeting
3 - Take home exercise review
The problem comes with the feedback of the 3rd interview. The exercise was a code review exercise in which I took a lot of notes in order to be able to discuss everything. They accused me of using AI tools when I warned in the beginning of the interview that I had taken notes of the code review. I was using my notes to pinpoint issues with the code . Then I solved the pointed issues.
And then came the baffling feedback, with a bunch of clichés like "he needs to get out of his comfort zone" or "needs to improve debugging skills" when even the interviewer didn't know what to ask and pointed out to documentation(?). All in all, besides the lack of preparation from the interviewers, it seems they were looking for excuses for you to fail. Raised me a lot a of red flags.
