This was my second interview for this position. I had interviewed last year and I did not get the position. This time I was contacted by the recruiter and asked if I wanted to interview again for the position that I previously interviewed for. I agreed to interview again. I did more research and I also had a mock interview setup so I could see where I needed to brush up on my interviewing skills. Well this time I got a job offer about a month after my interview in October. I begin December 18th! I interviewed with 2 of the same hiring managers as my previous interview and they state that they liked my persistence. I studied up on the STAR method interviewing and like I stated I did a mock interview at my local community college so I could get some pointers seeing as I really wanted this position. My suggestion is do the same if you can. I also did more research on the company so I could use it in my interview which Im glad I did because they asked why I wanted to be an Exelon employee and I was able to give specific examples of the company that I truly am passionate about. Also I networked with current employees in that role on Linkedin to get insight on the position because they did ask if I knew feat the position entailed and I had that information ready. And I was more confident in my answers this time around as well.
