First round is a 30 minute screening call with the CTO. Assuming that goes well, you get a take home technical task to work on. Couldn't comment on the final stage, as I didn't get to that point. Received the technical task in the afternoon and was going to start it that evening. Got an email a few hours after receiving it from the CTO asking how I was coming along. Kind of unusual to chase down so quickly after giving a task, most places give you a couple of days as you might have other things going on. Felt the pressure a bit there, so I pushed late that evening to get the task done. Emailed CTO the next morning as he said he'd set aside some time to review my task. Never confirmed he received or even looked at it. Thought it was a bit bizarre. Gave it a week and followed up. A few weeks on and still nothing. What a waste! Ironically, was speaking to a recruiter recently and when they asked if I had any technical tasks in progress I mentioned the lack of response on this one. They mentioned that they'd heard of this happening before and that the CTO has completely ignored a couple of people on different occasions. Not very professional!
