The least professional process. I had a screening call with HR where I was told that my initial request of €50k anual gross salary was within the range offered. We had a call of around 35 mins and she scheduled a call the next day with the hiring manager in Barcelona. An hour later she called back saying that they couldn’t offer that salary, but they could provide €32 to €37k. When I asked if by lowering the offer they would also remove the request to travel one hour to the office 3 times a week, they said that it was not possible but that they also offer the excellent benefit of €400 annually for wellness. I told them if they could at least guaranteed the €37k and she said no, that it was only €35 (all in the same call). Then she said that €32k was the offer. I told her this was the most disrespectful job interview of a lifetime because she didn’t even know what she was offering and I left the process. The most amateur company ever and it’s scary that they’re in charge of health processes if they run their business like this.
