Having already been a regional director for a direct competitor of this company in addition to over 20 years hotel management experience I applied to Equity. I had already had three telephone interviews before being invited to fly down to Tampa for a face to face interview with 3 regional vice presidents and a senior vice president, all very nice folks. I was asked to go travel around the Tampa area to view about 8 of their locations in the Tampa area and all in all I found the experience acceptable. But the hang up "do you have a 4 year college degree?" No real consideration to the dozens of years of upper management experience is given and rather than seeing practical hands-on experience a better situation as it would be, if there is no sheepskin then there's no job as a regional. Maybe this will explain why there is constant advertising on places like Hcareers and Indeed,can the turnover rate be that high?

Thought the first interview went well. Followed up via email on day that interviewer indicated she would be in touch with me for an update... three weeks later, still nothing. Waste of my time and they contacted me first.
