It is primarily a sales position, and not a true management position that involves educating, administration, and supporting new trainers/members. So if you are great at sales and can churn up impressive figures from your past job experiences, they will be all ears. It is not about credentials and work ethic, but about numbers. Otherwise, they will offer a personal trainer position as an alternative to see how you sell and work your way up from there. In essence, they do not wish to pay basic salary to someone they don't think can rake in the big bucks for them.

The interview process for this is multi-phased which is to be expected. However, Equinox likes to promote from within so if you are not currently working for Equinox you might as well not waste your time.

Entretien
Went through telephone interviews first, then in person interviews. There are multiple, as to be expected from a company with a multi tiered system of management. Overall it is very positive as long as you have the experience and the knowledge to back it up.

Entretien
Phone interview and then had an in club interview. The phone interview took about 10 minutes and the in club interview was about an hour long. It was a laid back feel and my interviewer was very nice and easy to talk with.
