J'ai passé un entretien chez Endex (NY) (New York, NY)
Entretien
Was pretty impressed by the company initially because of it being one of the few excel for finance companies raising a series A. But, when Interviewed with them, I realized that it seems like a very disorganized/not well thought company. The first round was a chat w engineer, then an online assessment and then a system design round. What’s weird is that it was not really a standard system design round it was a build a ai agent for some use case round, it was off the track for me given that a lot of my day to day work was in swe. I have build agents a lot and I think I could have done fine if I knew beforehand and had the chance to atleast reherse. I think good companies understand the difference between working with something and the expectation to deliver in 60 minutes window, so they do provide some idea of what the interviews are like. What’s worse is I had a sense that the Interviewer dint understand the problem himself. Overall though beyond lack of thought of Interview process, the whole process was very disrespectful. Not following up after an interview, having me follow up. Then eventually ghosting me! This is inspite having a dedicated ops persons, have worked with a lot of companies where founders run the process themselves and are much more organized.

Disrespectful interview process. From scheduling to the interview itself. They pooled together a bunch of candidates and set up a zoom call with all of them together and asked them to do a coding challenge. Hunger games vibes. Gave me a window into the management choices so I will be steering clear of this company.
