      Earlier this year, I had a very negative experience with Electromed during their hiring process. After several rounds of interviews, the hiring manager explicitly told me that the position was mine and encouraged me to start arranging my move and informing my current employer. Although I normally would never make such decisions without a formal offer, the hiring manager repeatedly insisted that I was the chosen candidate and that the final steps were “just a formality.” Because of these assurances, I invested significant time and resources into the process. I spent many days building and perfecting the required final presentation, even taking vacation days from my current job and missing a family trip to do so. I also completed a scheduled “tech check” with HR in preparation. After delivering the presentation, I received an extremely positive email from HR that same evening, strongly suggesting that an offer would follow, with only a “slight delay” due to an upcoming company conference. That delay stretched into more than three weeks of silence. I waited anxiously for communication that never came. Eventually, I received a rejection that did not align at all with the feedback I had been given throughout the process. I was told it was “one of the hardest decisions the company had to make this year,” which felt disingenuous following all prior indications. Overall, I felt misled, strung along, and that the process lacked transparency and professionalism. My time, effort, and trust were ultimately disrespected. While I’m pleased to share that I have since accepted a position with a far more reputable organization, one that handled their hiring process with integrity, this experience left a strong impression. I would not consider Electromed for future opportunities, nor would I recommend them to peers in the medical sales industry.
