      Entretien

Absolutely abysmal candidate experience. I had a phone interview scheduled with then, they did not call within the time slot. After waiting an additional half an hour I called HR and let them know I hadn't received a call. They apologized and said they'd reschedule it. I the get an email saying when the new interview was to be, except I had no input into the time - I already have a job, one I am busy actually doing, and can't just take a 15 minute long call whenever in the middle of the day. But I find a way to make it happen. Get the call, and honestly the interview was fine and went well. The interviewer seemed like a good guy, I answered his questions, he answered mine, and we seemed to be a mutual rapport. I'm well experienced for the position I was applying for, and was thinking my chances were rather good. He tells me he will pass me along to the hiring manager, and that I would hear back next week for the next steps (a proper face to face interview). Then radio silence. I figured since this was between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the holidays were bogging the process down. Mid way through December I send a follow up email to my intervier. No response. I send another follow up mid January. No response. I see that Eaton posted another round of the exact same positions to their website. So I applied again. Scheduled another phone interview. This time the call was 2 hours late. I scheduled the call for a break time, so I'm in the middle of doing my job, and have to deal with this interview. This 2nd interviewer was an Indian woman who was hard to understand. Was clearly reading from a script and had a difficult time with complex answers, just wanted yes and no answers. It was like pulling teeth. I was able to answer her questions to her satisfaction and she thanks me for applying / interviewing. Never heard back. This cycle continues about 3 times from January to April. They repost the same exact jobs / shifts, and I would apply, then schedule a phone interview. From then on it was this same Indian woman who is simply not a good interviewer. Each interview was a clone of the preceding interview. Same rote mind numbing questions, clearly she didn't recognize that I was the same person from before (3 times over). Meanwhile I've changed jobs and whatnot, but I was so aggrevated with what happened with all this (since I was a perfect fit and this job would have really helped me) that I figured I'd keep applying when they repost the same jobs out of spite (and chance maybe I'd get the job I wanted). Inevitably they repost again (now 6 months later). I apply again, and now I'm getting almost instant automatic rejection emails for the same positions I applied for before. WTH. So either they blacklisted me, or they are playing some sick quota game with these job postings to meet some government regulation or something. Despite my pissy tone in this review, I was entirely professional during every interaction, I have tons of experience for the position, and was initially rather enthusiastic about working there. Not good enough for whatever reason. Even had a goddamn referral. Don't waste your time. You'll see the nice $$$ on the job post, but it's a trap and a time sink. They are not serious about their postings. If they are this disorganized and crap with the candidate experience, can only imagine how bad and bureaucratic it is inside.

Basically looking for people who will be dependable, drug free, and able to learn the aspects of the position and ultimately cross-train to fill in as needed. Obviously, they want you to pick up the job and work as fast as possible in spite of being told take your time and do it right.
