The process involved an hour-long online psychometric assessment, three interviews and a brand campaign task.
The first interview with HR was straightforward and well run.
The second interview was unusual. Despite being positioned as a technical interview, it consisted of approximately 10 minutes reviewing my CV, a few minutes where the job description was read to me, and then I was asked to put my questions to the interviewer. There were no questions directed at me and no follow-up on anything I raised. I did my best to use my own questions as an opportunity to share relevant experience, but without any engagement from the other side this was very difficult. It was not clear what the purpose of the interview was.
The final interview consisted almost entirely of back-to-back competency questions in the format of "describe a time you..." with a heavy focus on experiences from university, which was over ten years ago. There was very little opportunity to discuss recent and directly relevant experience or strategic thinking.
After three interviews, a task which I wasn't given the opportunity to present, the process ended with a brief rejection email and no feedback offered.
For a company with a strong Glassdoor rating, the interview experience did not reflect that reputation. Candidates investing this level of time deserve at minimum some constructive feedback!
