I applied in November 2019. About a week later, I received an auto-generated rejection notice. After getting in touch with an internal contact, my application was referred and then I received an invitation to complete a digital screening. The screening consisted in multiple timed taped questions, followed by 4 timed written questions. The final question was to get in touch with a recruiter in order to get the final question (which was a writing assignment). No recruiter was assigned to me and it was complicated to track one down. Once I did, I was given the writing exercise and had 24 hours to complete it. I was invited to two back-to-back virtual 2-person panel interviews at the end of January 2020. I was told I should hear back within about a week. After 2 weeks, I followed up with the recruiter and was asked about my preference for the job location from among 7 options. After another 10+ days I followed up again to find out what was going on. At the end of February I learned from the recruiter that the two cities we had previously been discussing were no longer options, and I was asked if I would be willing to work out of the Cleveland office. I then never heard back from the recruiter. The position was reposted quickly after with new cities, and eventually my candidacy was rejected through the application portal. I never got a formal rejection from the recruiter or anyone else at ERM.
