The interview process from start to finish was pretty long and in-depth. After using their website to apply, it has you answer a bunch of questions, around 15 I think, and once you submit it, you essentially just wait until they send you an interview acceptance email where you pick from a range of dates and cities that work for you. They do not provide any reimbursement for travel or accommodation to the interview so keep that in mind with how you want to arrive/stay. The actual in-person hiring session consists of usually 4-6 people and most of the day, which for me was 11:00am to about 6:00pm, is spent going over the informational part of the company any their expectations, which they are incredibly up-front about. After the informational session is done, you'll usually pair/group up after watching the ECC interviewer give a demo lesson, and you'll be assigned a simple set of vocabulary words and you'll have to go over how you think you want to present the topic words. They're essentially looking for someone who can be super silly/energetic, yet still engaging, while making sure to let the "students" (your fellow interviewees) demonstrate the topic language at the end. Once that's done, you'll finish up the day with the grammar test, which is actually decently difficult/tricky so actually study unless grammar is your hobby. Sometimes if there is time at the end the ECC interviewer will conduct an actual in-person interview, but for my group, he emailed us later to set up a Zoom interview time. You'll receive a generic email stating their appreciation for your time and patience with the hiring session and they unfortunately cannot offer you a position at this time if you're rejected, but they do not go into any detail as to why. Throughout the hiring session you'll have little breaks and a separate lunch break, which again is up to you to pay for.
