J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez EBC Financial Group en juin 2025

      Entretien

I had a negative experience with the interviewer for this position and I am truly disappointed with the overall experience interviewing for this position. I was first approached for this position and I was very transparent from the beginning about the lack of experience in performance marketing, but was told that they were very much still interested in me as a candidate and my resume fit the position that they were looking. I agreed to go ahead with the interview where I was told that it would be short getting to know me session and talking about my work experience. I proceeded to let her know my following work experience where I fully explained to her the tasks and responsibilities I've undertaken and what my day to day at work currently looks like. I also explained to her what my tasks were when undertaking campaigns. I thought the interview was going well until the interviewer interrupted me and told me that I was very clear about my growth as an individual but I was not going into detail as to why my work or campaigns were successful. I had informed the interviewer that due to an NDA that I have signed with my current company, I'm unable to go into detail into the specifics of the clients (name of brand) and the specific outcomes and results of the campaigns. Instead of finding a work-around, she started assuming the nature of my NDA saying that NDAs usually involve not revealing company secrets and etc which I clarified further that it also includes revealing the client. She then proceeded to mention that I had not explained to her the nature of my work and that she would expect to see a portfolio. A mention of viewing a portfolio was not previously mentioned during any previous contact. The interviewer was rude and frankly quite unprofessional in her line of questioning. Even after trying to explain to her the nature of my NDA, she had cut me off and asked to end the interview if I was not willing to show her any of my work. I chose to end the interview as I was not willing to breach my confidentiality agreement. Overall this experience left a sour taste in my mouth and makes me question the quality of life of the employees under her. If she could leave such a negative impression on someone the first time meeting them, I can only imagine how a permanent employee working along side her might feel.

We’re regret to hear that your interview experience didn’t meet your expectations. While we strive to conduct all interviews with professionalism and transparency, we also have a responsibility to assess role fit—especially for marketing-related positions where demonstrating strategic thinking and results is key. We understand NDAs can limit what candidates are able to share. Unfortunately, without the ability to share any details—even in a generalized or anonymized way—it becomes difficult for us to fairly and effectively assess experience, contribution, and fit for the position. There might be appropriate ways to discuss work experience without breaching confidentiality—such as referring to industry type (e.g., FMCG, tech), non-identifiable campaign objectives, strategies used, or general performance outcomes (e.g., “improved revenue by 40%”). Many candidates successfully convey their impact using anonymized summaries. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will continue working to ensure clarity and mutual respect throughout our hiring process. We wish you the best in your career journey.
