I was referred by a current employee. I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a Zoom chat with a hiring manager, and then was moved on to the next round and given a take home project.
Spent a few hours on it over 2 days, then submitted it. I was reached out to 2 days later to be told they were not going to proceed forward with my application AND they could provide any feedback or discussion on my submitted take-home project.
Considering your candidates took time to complete an take home project and submit this repo to you, the least you could do would be to have a discussion on it/what could be improved or provide notes to that effect.
Instead saying you want to keep lines of communication open in the future when they have NO IDEA what they failed at the first time is rude.
